Most people have no idea what shadow work actually is.

It's not journaling affirmations.


It's not pretending everything is okay.


And it's certainly not trying to "think positive" your way through pain.


Shadow work is the willingness to sit with the uncomfortable feelings, beliefs, memories, and old stories you've carried for years.


The words someone spoke over you.


The projections you absorbed from others.


The fears you've never questioned.


The situations your body still remembers, even when your mind wants to forget.


Your shadow is real.


But your shadow is not your enemy.


It is the part of you that learned how to survive.


The part that reacted out of fear.


The part that built walls to protect a wounded heart.


The part that sometimes overreacted, said things you wish you hadn't, or made choices that, looking back, weren't truly aligned with who you are.


Not because you were broken...
